The Pacific Curls are a unique Ecoustic / Roots 3 piece band from New Zealand - blending an impressive instrumental collection featuring the ukulele, cajon, fiddle, Taonga Puoro - traditional Maori instruments, guitar, stomp box, kalimba, various percussive instruments and vocals with lyrics in Te Reo Maori, Rotuman and English.


Mountain Movie Night

A wonderful cosy evening of film & food with friends was enjoyed up the mountain here at Coastal Trek. By candlelight we were treated to a delicious farm-fresh dinner prepared by Andrea Stuchberry. In the ocean view studio, we enjoyed an intimate movie screening of The Real Dirt on Farmer John - who is a hilarious, off-beat (and rather eccentric) mid-west farmer with a taste for tractors and glamour. Farmer John is greatly involved in the co-creation of Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) - an alternative, locally-based socio-economic model of agriculture and food distribution - and is quite a character! After dinner a stimulating chat ensued as we were treated to homemade chai and cookies. What a beautiful winter evening!
