Getting Here...
The Comox Valley is located approximately half way up the east coast of Vancouver Island. The Valley is made up of 3 communities: the town of Courtenay, the town of Comox and Cumberland Village. When making your travel arrangements keep in mind we will pick you up on or close to your arrival. There is space to provide us with your travel details in our registration forms.
Float Plane
There are daily flights from downtown Vancouver to the Comox Valley Harbour with Harbour Air. This is a beautiful way to see the Georgia Straight and take in the scenery. This route is seasonal so please check your dates and times carefully. Please also check luggage restrictions.

DrivingOur area of Vancouver Island is easily accessible from two major ferry terminals near the city of Vancouver: Horseshoe Bay (to Departure Bay, Nanaimo) and Tsawwassen (to Duke Point, Nanamio).

Detailed Driving Instructions to 8100 Forbidden Plateau Road:
Once off the ferry in Nanaimo Follow HWY 19 north towards Comox Valley and Campbell River. (It is approximately 100km) You will be looking for Exit 127 also called Piercy Rd. (you will pass the main exit to the Comox Valley). Exit right on to Piercy Rd. Forbidden Plateau Rd will be your first right. Turn here. Follow Forbidden all the way to the top. The road does turn to gravel as you start to wind your way up to the top (9-10 kms for the gravel sections). Eventually you will pass a row of old ski cabins on your right. Continue past these and you will see our driveway on the right- #8100 (opposite Grouse road). Once through the gate stay to your left and you will reach the lodge. |
