Event:            Cortes Oyster Fest ’08 (local Event)

Date:                        Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Where:            Squirrel Cove Cortes Island oyster festival

Details:            This lively Event is a great example of island Life at it’s Best. If you are an oyster lover do not miss the opportunity to indulge in world’s best!

Coastal Trek Head Chef, Kathy Jerritt, is not only one of the event organizers but also one of the contributing talents. And of course we have a great hike planned for everyone that highlights the diverse ecosystems of this unique Northern Gulf Island.

Event:            Comox Valley Shellfish Festival (local event)

Date:            June 14th, 2008

Where:            Comox Marina Park 11am to 4pm

Details:            This second annual event showcases the bountiful seafood we are so lucky to have access to here in the Comox Valley.  Coastal Trek head Chef, Kathy Jerritt, is one of the events organizers as well as one of many local chef’s creating the festival’s fare.
